CanoeAlaska is a locally owned and operated canoe and kayak rental company located on the scenic Chena River at Pioneer Park in Fairbanks, Alaska. Since 1975, we’ve helped locals and visitors alike explore the beauty of Interior Alaska by canoe, kayak, and paddleboard.
We make it easy to float the Chena River in Fairbanks. Choose from canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards and enjoy one of our self-guided day trips down this scenic river. We provide life vests, paddles, and shuttle service, so you can relax and enjoy your Chena River adventure. We gladly accommodate large group float trips.

Day Trips
Choose one of our Day Trip packages on the Chena River. Enjoy a leisurely float down the Chena River from Pioneer Park to Pikes Landing. Paddle the scenic lower Chena from the Nordale Road bridge back to town. Choose from canoes, kayaks, paddleboards and SUPs. A shuttle is included with our day trips.
Large Group Day Trips
CanoeAlaska specializes in planning fun, easy, and customizable river trips for large groups. Choose from our regular day floats or create your own custom route—including downtown Fairbanks starts. We offer group discounts for early-morning departures and provide all equipment, shuttles, and support to ensure a smooth experience for your team, school group, wedding party, or organization.
Bike Rentals
Explore Fairbanks at your own pace with CanoeAlaska’s walk-in bike rentals! No reservation needed—just stop by Pioneer Park and choose from our fleet of bikes. We typically have plenty available, perfect for cruising the Chena River trails, touring downtown, or enjoying a fun family ride.

Spontaneous adventures are easy at CanoeAlaska! While online bookings are only available the day prior, we welcome walk-ins every day for same-day Chena River floats, canoe, kayak, and SUP rentals, and bike rentals.
